The Gecko MKIII RTV (rough terrain vehicle) is designed to traverse extremely rough areas where other vehicles, including aircraft, are unable to go.
It is ideal for use on exo-planets and has a pressurised cabin and compartment, fully capable of supporting the two-crew team for extended periods. Gecko Mk III units are to be found on Earth, New Earth and Earth 2.0.
Powered by a 1200kW Contained Hydrogen power plant, the articulated limbs are hydraulically powered. AI control enables the following modes: fully automatic, driver assist or remote control. LIDAR (mast on roof of compartment) supplies accurate terrain data and mapping for the vehicle. All data is captured for storing and processing. Top speed is an impressive 58km per hour.
The idea for the Gecko Drive was derived in the 2030’s when the inventor was watching a gecko moving over a really rough surface. Gecko Mk III units are to be found on Earth, Mars, New Earth and Earth 2.0.
This is my entry for the CG Boost contest “Futuristic Vehicle” and it was all created in Blender.
